About the Studio
MatchVox Studio has opened its doors. The 12 x 20 foot studio sits in a luxurious backyard garden located in the Leslieville area of Toronto, Ontario. It is constructed entirely on a floating floor with its control and live rooms built within one large room, meeting the industry standard. One inch of air space exists between the inner and outer walls and angled ceilings thus optimizing sound isolation and minimizing sound transmission through the floor. The control and live rooms both have been acoustically treated for accurate monitoring and for a greater overall true sound. Additionally, the MatchVox lounge comes complete with a television, satellite service, full stereo, DVD player, Playstation 2, sectional couch, fridge and microwave. It is also located right by Gerrard Square where you can find beer and liquor stores, Tim Horton's and a multitude of restaurants.About the Producer
The studio's producer, Jamie Matsukubo has 23 years of experience in musical collaboration that has included numerous bands and musical projects. He has also shadowed with talents such as Grammy nominated producer Mark Zubek (Crash Test Dummies, Blaise Pascal, et al). Jamie was also trained extensively with other musical notables. Regardless of the project, you can expect that Jamie will always approach his craft with passion and commitment. Giving 100 percent each day is his standard and promise.
